Wilkening Fireplace Company manufactures two styles of built in wood burning fireplaces. The Magna-Fyre™ is one of them. Magna-Fyre™ Zero Clearance Fireplaces require no special foundation or enclosure to surround them. They heat up to operating temperature faster than masonry installed systems and are generally used for back up heating or recreational use. They offer high efficiency operation, zero clearance cost effective installation.
The Magna-Fyre™, like all Wilkening Fireplaces, utilizes an advanced combustion system that is non catalytic. Outside air is directly connected to the burning chamber and unlike typical zero clearance units, will not allow cold drafts or odors to enter your home.
A Magna-Fyre™ offers the largest fire viewing area of any high efficiency fireplace in its class. The glass is a 1400 degree ceramic material that resists breakage due to excessive heat. An internal air wash applies combustion air over the panels to retain a clear view of the fire.
| *The Magna-Fyre Zero Clearance Fireplace complies with the guidance published by the U.S. Internal Revenue Service (IRS) Recovery and Reinvestment Tax Act of 200 which states that a 30% Tax Credit of up to $1500 may be issued for biomass-burning, home heating stoves purchased and installed for residential use during 2009 and 2010.
